Beyond its lead asset, Arcutis's pipeline includes several other promising compounds. Among these is ARQ-154, a roflumilast foam applied topically, aimed at seborrheic dermatitis and scalp psoriasis. Furthermore, ARQ-252, a topical selective Janus kinase type 1 (JAK1) inhibitor, is under investigation for hand eczema and vitiligo. ARQ-255, a variation of ARQ-252 designed for deeper dermal absorption, is being explored for alopecia areata. Established in 2016, the company was initially named Arcutis, Inc. before changing to Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. in October 2019. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Westlake Village, California.
