Company Info
Established in 2008 through a spin-off from the former Korea Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. and listed on the stock market in the same year, this company operates a single business segment. It produces steel bars using 120-ton electric arc furnaces and rolling facilities, selling them to construction companies, distributors, and the Public Procurement Service, with steel bars comprising 93.58% of total sales. In response to the challenging domestic construction market and fluctuating raw material prices, the company is implementing cost reduction strategies and strengthening technological competitiveness through digital transformation. Korea Steel was established in 2008 and is headquartered in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do.
