Company Info
The company grew into the second blast furnace steelmaker with the operation of its integrated steel mill in 2010 and secured overseas businesses through mergers with Hyundai Hysco in 2013 and 2015. As an electric arc furnace steelmaker, it operates plate products and bar and section steel businesses, supplying steel materials to major industries such as automotive, construction, shipbuilding, home appliances, and machinery. The company is pursuing process carbon neutrality and carbon reduction for electric arc furnace-based products with a two-track strategy, and is constructing an electric arc furnace steel mill, aiming for commercial production in early 2029. Hyundai Steel was established in 1953 and is headquartered in Dong-gu, Incheon.
