Korean Re was established in 1963 as Korea National Reinsurance Corporation, later converting to a joint-stock company and adopting its current name in 2002. As the sole dedicated reinsurer in Korea, it manages outwards and inwards reinsurance for both non-life and life insurance, operating branches and offices in key international locations. With over fifty years of experience and a profound understanding of the domestic insurance sector, the company delivers customized reinsurance services to global clients. This approach strengthens its position as a leading worldwide reinsurer. Korean Re is headquartered in Jung-gu, Seoul.
